Legos or other building blocks are so functional, and notice “fun” is part of functional, they just don’t seem to go out of style! Young and old alike enjoy building with Legos or similar building blocks and many Lego Clubs have been formed harnessing that creative potential for educational purposes. I even started a Lego Club in my own home.

 

 

I’ve spent a lot of time compiling your ultimate Lego party supply list with DIY alternatives including a FREE printable for you.

 

Lego parties don’t have to be limited to kids or birthdays. If you participate in a Lego Club this list is for you too. I’ve put together what I consider your ULTIMATE Lego / building block Party Supply List which includes some DIY ideas.  (I’m using my affiliate links, thank you for supporting HallofFameMoms).

 

My list below includes baking supplies, unique party favors, and paper products/decor.  Be sure to read my DIY ideas at the end of each of these sections.

 

Baking Supplies

FDA food grade heat-resistent silicone  building brick molds for making crayons, chocolates, gummies, ice cubes and more.

A DIY idea:  Use up old broken crayons to make your own minifig crayon favors with the molds I shared above!

Another DIY idea: use the molds above to make your own brick/minifig shaped gummies and chocolates!

Another DIY idea: Wrap construction paper around juice boxes instead. Draw circles on them or use your circle cutter to punch out circle shapes to complete the Lego brick appearance.

A DIY idea: Buy colored gift bags and use a circle cutter if you have one (I have a circle punch similar to this) or cut circles free-hand to glue on the bags to make them look like Legos.

Again, since I mentioned it above, that 1000 pc. building block set looks like it would make great favors and pieces for games or activities. In our Lego Club the kids break up into groups and work on assigned challenge-builds. You could do the same and let the kids keep the bricks they use for the games.

DIY idea: Make your invites out of cut-to-size colored construction paper or cardstock. Then type up your info on the computer, print it out and cut to size, glue inside the folded colored cards, find some Lego stickers and embellish the front.

You can be as creative as you want  – or don’t want!

DIY idea: If you don’t want to buy a banner you can make one out of colored cardstock or construction paper. Use a circle cutter or cut circles free-hand and glue on to make each piece of paper resemble a Lego or building brick. Attach each brick by a clothespin or paperclip onto string or twine. Hang wherever you need!

If you don’t want to purchase a matching set of patterned supplies you can always go with one color or a couple colors and buy things individually. You can check your local craft or party stores if you want to buy in person. Don’t forget to check the dollar stores, too.
