Off-grid pantry planner

It’s been YEARS since my husband and I have been to Kings Island and our boys had never been there till this day.  A fellow blogger in one of the Ohio blogging groups I belong to told us we could request free tickets (bloggers are considered “Media”) – so I requested and was granted tickets for our immediate family.  Since Kings Island is near a free-to-the-public fossil park we decided to make that our weekend getaway!

There are two free fossil parks in Ohio where you keep your real fossil finds: Trammel Fossil Park and Olender Park in Sylvania, Ohio near Toledo).  You can see some of our fossil pictures in a post I wrote about our trip to Trammel Fossil Park here.

Ohio family fun near Cincinnati.

Back to Kings Island.  As you can see it was an overcast kind of day, this actually may have helped the crowds not be so bad. I’m not sure how Kings Island compares to Cedar Point in size, but we actually felt it was smaller – but that’s not a bad thing.

While Joel and Brendan went on some big rides, Jack and I walked around and did other stuff – like eat Dip’n Dots 🙂

If you don’t like visiting amusement parks during the summer because of crowds or the hot temps- now would be a good time to go. See what Kings Island has to offer here.
