The mind is the seedbed of our actions and so we must be careful to guard our thoughts.
For those of us who know Christ as our Savior – we know His word is that incorruptible seed that when planted in the good soil of our hearts bears good fruit through our beliefs and actions.
All of God’s word is good; but, there are those nuggets of gold that just really speak to an issue we may be struggling with and so then it becomes incredibly helpful to stop and memorize that verse.
I like to call these anchor verses.
These are verses in scripture that just really help us weather the storms in life when we meditate on them – that is, thinking on them and applying them to life.
Quite awhile ago I asked my Facebook friends to share their anchor verses. I pulled up that list to share with you here on the blog. Today we’ll look at 13 of the 25 verses I have to share with you.

Memorize these 13 Anchor Verses
Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Ecclesiastes 12:13 (vs. 14 would be good to add)
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any many man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Romans 12:1-2
