(This post is brought to you by Canvas Factory. Opinions are my own.)
If you’ve been following my blog for awhile (and I’ve been blogging for 10 year now) you might remember me talking about my appreciation for a certain type of lightweight photo wallhangings.
Several years ago we moved into our current old home. It’s pushing 100 years of age and I noticed early on that when I’d pound nails in the walls sometimes I could hear crumbling. Yikes. I guess that means we have plaster walls behind that pretty wallpaper.
Yes, I said wallpaper and it is pretty. We left the wallpaper up when we moved in and only painted about two and half rooms…so far. I haven’t finished painting the kitchen the way I’d like it, yet. Back to hanging pictures.
Since discovering the beauty and value of photo canvases and the unique texture they add to my wall arrangements I’ve been slowly accumulating my family-photo-art. Right now my large pieces adorn the stairway walls. I haven’t decided where to put my latest piece.
(The canvas looks better in person! Photo was taken last fall on an overcast day. I shared about our Ark Encounter trip here.)
I had the opportunity to walk through the steps of making a personalized 20×16 canvas wall hanging with Canvas Factory recently and they want to give one of my readers the same experience with the same size canvas and FREE shipping! Isn’t that wonderful?! << GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED.
Creating My Photo Canvas
So, my biggest decision was choosing which picture I wanted to add to my wall next. After scrolling through my phone I saw it! The one of our family standing in front of the Noah’s ark replica at the Ark Encounter!
The canvas image turned out wonderful and I was thrilled with the results (it looks better in person, my home lightning is on the warm side)! But, you’re probably wanting to know if this is a hard thing to do online, right?
Creating my photo canvas was really easy on my phone. I picked the canvas size, uploaded my photo and centered it where I wanted and ordered.
I’m glad the photo canvas was wrapped in plastic and then wrapped in cardboard for shipping. It was raining the day it came and the box was lightly damp but my canvas was just fine.
GIVEAWAY has ended: CONGRATS to Betsy who won the canvas!
