This week on Frugal Friday I’m sharing my grocery budget struggles and my January grocery budget.
While my mindset and way of living has been by and large to live frugally, I am a budget beginner.
I explained why this and why I can’t do a strictly cash budget in this post.
While I’m not strapping myself this time quite as much as I did years ago with my $35 grocery budget attempt, I may have picked a still-too-low weekly budget. Time will tell.
Do you have any great budgeting tips for me? Are you a struggling “budgeter” too? Tell me in the comments!

I should probably meal plan better. I’ve also learned to just avoid going to the stores if I don’t want to spend. I will likely find something on sale or clearance that I may justify buying but don’t need.
It can be a real challenge to stick to a certain amount for groceries since
prices fluctuates so much. I can do real well one week and then 2 weeks
later, it seems like I am way out of the ball park. I do TRY to fix a weekly
menu ahead of time which enables me to know for sure what I need to
get at the store. When I have a plan to go by I’m not so quick to buy
items that I don’t need for the week.
