My brother and his wife are some of the most creative people I know. They come up with some great products they make themselves which makes them a shop small, shop local brand. Now my brother has begun to make all-natural soap and his wife uses her knitting skills to make wash cloths – though she makes other things, too.

So my brother sent family members samples of his soap, including me, to try and I fell in love with the oats and clay variety. He makes scented and unscented as well as non-clay bars. I haven’t tried the non- clay yet but that dark brown bar you see below is non-clay coffee soap made with coffee and coffee beans and I’ll be trying that eventually. I’m enjoying a bar of Tea Tree Oats and Clay right now.

I do love the oats and clay so much though. It lathers up really well and my skin does not feel dried out. Ingredients are listed on the back of the box and include such things (depending on the kind of soap) as bentonite clay, essential oils, oats, and lard.
