Oh the busy-ness!

With Thanksgiving and Christmas happening in back-to-back months, family get-togethers, cookie-making, Christmas shopping, other posts to write and the beginning of the boys second round of swim lessonsĀ  to name a few … I’ve let a couple things slip.

They are still in the plans to be posted about.

While many things this time of year will come and go in a short period of time, like the cookie-baking, gift-wrapping and holiday-making…somethings are not dependent on the changing seasons. Such things as, my daily quiet time with God and keeping up with the laundry and house-cleaning. Now, I’m not saying I’m perfect at keeping up with all of these as I ought. I procrastinate, get tired, forgetful, – maybe, dare I say, lazy?

I have to share that our Pastor has been taking our church through the book of Nehemiah lately and there have been some down-right encouraging! messages. So much so, that I’ve been wanting to re-listen to one in particular. Do you have a real consuming burden to do a particular work for God?

What would you do if you knew God was calling you to a particular work for him and then someone offered you a lot of money to do something else?

This is the message for you, I heartily recommend you visit the website FBCJ.com and listen to the November 13th message from the series on Nehemiah found under the Sunday Morning Main Service “. You can click easily to listen to the message and you can download the study sheet- all free.

I’m listening to it right now.

Sharing my thoughts in this post just helped me. I hope someone reading this is encouraged too.
